First Listen: Lou Writer is “Indecisive” but strong on new single

A Jackson, MS-born singer and songwriter with impressive stage and screen credits (The Voice, American Idol, 106 & Park), Louis Wright III, a.k.a. Lou Writer, proves that he has choir-created pipes and the skills to make his goals of stardom come true with the release of his first single from his upcoming EP, "Indecisive."

Waxing rhapsody over a wistful mid-tempo groove that harkens to early 2000s neo-soul, Writer's nimble tenor, "Indecisive" fleshes out the rueful tale of a woman who shows up too late with the goods after he's already 'bought stake' in someone else. Produced by CedSolo, the 'should-I-or-shouldn't-I' dilemma sounds as crisp as any Claude Kelly/Cainon Lamb track and scores points for positing a younger man to choose lust over loyalty ("Oh baby, there's no hope for us now/I can't leave this other woman") as he's left to ponder what might have been.
