(February 25, 2022) Mali Hâf’s music is an amalgamation of her varied influences, all interpreted in a very personal way. The Welsh born singer-songwriter grew up loving both Celtic music along with R&B, and her growing artistry through that lens has resulted in music that is both compelling and unusual.
Mali’s latest single, “Tara’s Eyes,” shows those musical loves, but also adds jazz and even hip-hop influences, ultimately using its bass line and syncopation to deliver a song that is somehow both ethereal and gritty.
