September 10, 2019 — This apparent Golden Age of fresh, new R&B artists just keeps delightfully unfolding. This week brings us Mariah the Scientist, a gifted 21-year old singer/songwriter from Atlanta who has just released her debut album, Master, courtesy of RCA Records.  Mariah delivers her own compelling brand of alt-R&B: spare, guitar-driven arrangements; personal, diary-like spoken/sung lyrics; and a voice beyond its years with interesting, feathered edges and sweetness.

We feature here “Beetlejuice,” a head-nodding ode to an intoxicating player of whom Mariah simply can’t get enough.  We feel the same way about the track!  Enjoy.
