And now for something completely different…Mariea Antoinette is bringing an entirely unique sound to R&B and contemporary jazz: her soulful harp. Offering a balanced set list of originals and imaginative takes on timeless R&B gems, Straight From The Harp: Special Edition, being released September 25, seduces and sways with refreshingly distinctive sounds placed in a seldom heard context that will change your perception of the ancient stringed instrument.

The San Diego-based Antoinette partnered with Emmy-winning and two-time Grammy-nominated producer-songwriter Allan Phillips for her inspired revolution on “Straight From The Harp: Special Edition.” The thirteen rhythmic tracks lean urban, harnessing bumping beats on energetic dancefloor fillers and breathy, sensual vocal choruses that quicken pulses on several other numbers.

We're giving SoulTrackers a sneak peek at the album with the World Premiere of "Give Me Your Love," a fresh re-imagining of the love song from Curtis Mayfield’s classic and iconic Super Fly soundtrack. Mariea tells us: “I chose to record this song because it has always touched my heart in a special way. It’s so beautiful and brings me back to the scene in the movie that was very romantic. Anyone who hears it and has seen the film will instantly remember that scene as well. Curtis Mayfield was a master, a genius producer at the time and I have always admired his work.”
