One of the most dynamic and versatile studio and touring drummers in the jazz, R&B and pop realms over the past 15 years, Mark McLean had a single criterion when it came time to expand his horizons beyond the groove and record his long awaited breakout as a powerhouse composer and lyricist: it had to Feel Alright. And that's just what his upcoming album is all about.
We debuted the single "Shining Star Please Be Mine" a couple months ago, and now we're just as proud to premiere a very nice duet between Mark and singer Wade O. Brown. Says Mark, "'Angel On Your Pillow' was written for a friend who was going through a rough time. This song is about having faith and leaving our thoughts and prayers in the hands of God, a higher power or whatever you chose to believe. It’s about putting an end to constant worrying."
