Within months of the release of her soulful debut, Wildfire, Megan Wilde was chosen as winner of an LA Music Critic Award. She followed it by winning international songwriting contests and lots of positive buzz. It was a true coming out for the Chicago native and Interlochen graduate.
We saw Megan’s video for the song “Runaway Romeo” and realized she’s the real deal, a fiery singer with a gritty sound and strong songs to boot. She tells us of “Runaway Romeo”: “Runaway Romeo is a driving soul and blues rocker I wrote about two young lovers on the run. I was inspired by Quentin Tarantino films, the hypnotic rhythms of Nina Simone and Beyonce, a touch of whiskey, and the wild and downtrodden homeless youth.”
