(March 26, 2019) We first heard the soulful stylings of Music Carolyn a few years ago when she was performing with her husband as the duo Taniq. But the singer has carved a quality career over the years working with other artists ranging from opera singer Kathleen Battle to R&B crooner Jon B.
And music fans will get to hear Carolyn front and center when she issues her debut album on March 29.
A classically-trained vocalist whose first musical instrument was the clarinet, Music Carolyn's tastes in music run the gamut from classical, to free jazz, to R&B to her foundation, gospel. The jazzier side of her taste comes out strongly in her first single from the project, “Satisfied,” on which she worked with noted producer Ty Macklin.
"Satisfied" is a mid-tempo number that expresses the feel-good thoughts of a satisfying long-term relationship or marriage. It will induce a smile, even as it makes listeners sway in their seats.
