First Listen: Nichelle Colvin takes a ride on smooth jam

We’ve been writing about Indiana-based singer and songwriter Nichelle Colvin for a few years now. Known for her perceptive storytelling and her movement among musical styles, Nichelle has been a prolific musicmaker.

Next month, Nichelle will be releasing her Locomotive EP. But we have a sneak peek with the cool jam, “This Yo Stop?” It’s a jazzy number, with nice interplay between percussion and horns, and with a smooth sheen that makes for great evening listening.
