(April 7, 2019) During the late 1960s and early 70s, Chicago was one of the nation’s hotspots for soul music, and one of the native groups from the Windy City that was keeping folks grooving was The Notations. With two monster hits, “I’m Still Here” and “It Only Hurts For Awhile,” the quartet had a six year run that made them favorites for many soul music fans around the world.

The Notations faded from our view as the 80s arrived, but founding member Clifford Curry still had a lot of good music in him. He has re-created The Notations with singers Eric Bryant and Eric Rapier and issued the very nice single "Just Your Love" a couple years ago.

The Notations now have a single that brings them forward...by going back. Covering the classic doo wop song "Daddy's Home," Cliff and company give that 50s feel, complete with the red suits with black lapels that they sport in the new video. Check out “Daddy's Home” below and welcome back The Notations!
