(January 8, 2024) “Open Up,” the new song by Spanish born singer/songwriter Ona K, celebrates breaking out of the shells or boundaries that people sometimes allow themselves to be placed. People box themselves in by accepting the limitations set by others, or by themselves.

On the song, Ona K looks with an outsider’s eyes and sees the possibilities where others might see limitations. “Open Up” is a ballad of inspiration. A note of encouragement to the discouraged and an invitation to let go of fear-imposed boundaries and embrace the limitless best version of ourselves.

“Open Up” is the third single from Ona K’s upcoming album Full, New, Luna, which is scheduled to drop on Jan. 22. Like “Open Up,” the first two singles come from a deeply personal place. “Luna Llena, Luna Nueva” gives Ona K a chance to sing a song in Spanish, her first language. While draws on a painful experience in her past to encourage listeners not to allow past negative experiences to control their present or future.
