First Listen: Gregory Porter and Paloma Faith make us smile with bouncy "Christmas Prayer"

    (November 28, 2020) It’s almost trite to say that Gregory Porter could sing the telephone book and make is sound good, but it’s kinda true. Both on his own and as a frequent collaborator with other artists, he has provided us with a decade of greatness, culminating with yet another Grammy nomination this past week for his most recent album Rise Up.

    As we approach the Christmas season, the ubiquitous Mr. Porter is back, teaming with UK pop star Paloma Faith on a bouncy new single that has a decidedly 60s vibe, falling somewhere between Motown and the Brill Building. But it is 100% fun and a great showcase for both artists – who, by the way, sound great together.

    “Christmas Prayer” is light number about two lovers who just want to be together for the holidays:
