We recently heard new Contemporary Gospel artist Queyonoh (pronounced “Queena”) for the first time.   Queyonoh was born in Kansas City, Missouri. Her Liberian parents, Beryl and Joseph Kweh, had immigrated to the United States in the early 1980s to escape the civil war raging in their West Africa homeland and pursue a better life in America. A bit fearful as a child, she needed music for a restful sleep. As a result music became a “safe place” for her. She developed a love for music and began writing simple songs and playing the piano to express her love for Jesus.
