Rhonda Thomas stepped boldly into the post COVID world by recording a live album. That album, Rhonda-Re-Imagined, was recorded during two performances at an intimate venue in Atlanta. The upcoming project will feature new material, as well as new interpretations of some of her favorites, such as “Breathe New Life.”

Rhonda Re-Imagined is set to drop on June 1, and “For My Sisters,” one of Thomas’ new originals will be available on the same day.  The music for “For My Sisters,” which was created by DJ Kermit and Luke Austin, is set to a percussive, syncopated afrobeat sound that is currently taking the world by storm.

The song is an anthem of women’s empowerment and a call for female unity. Thomas wrote the song because she was guided by the belief that women are stronger together than they are when they are separated.
