First Listen: Son of Pearl is "5 Miles High" on love

Son of Pearl aims to get people grooving, and the bumping, rumbling, and plucking bass line that he lays down will accomplish that.

    That sound that calls to mind some of the great bass players from the funk band era, and it makes me feel like a party is about to pop off somewhere. On “Five Miles High,” Son of Pearl uses his bass to lay down the foundation for a hard driving funky love song.

    On “Five Miles High” Son of Pearl and Karlos Brickhouse lay it down and tell a woman how they feel. “Five Miles High” is an on-the-one appeal to a young lady to let down her guard, step away from her current love interest and take a chance on a love that will take them to the next level.
