(May 22, 2022) We’ve been singing the praises of Teri Tobin for over a decade, and every release from the songstress is an event in the SoulTracks community.
The Arizona-based singer has usually released original songs, but for her latest, she takes a Roberta Flack classic and reimagines it as a cool mid-tempo with an afro-soul vibe and, of course, a sonically sweet lead vocal up front.
Teri tells us, "I’m usually pretty quiet about my gifts and pride myself on being humble. I have been paying my dues behind the scenes for a bit. But it’s time I put it out there that ’love is my specialty…and I’m the one.’ If I don’t say it, who will?”
“The One” is a sneak peek from Teri’s much anticipated Forever album, due later this year. It is certainly getting us excited to hear more. Check it out below, and welcome Teri Tobin back to SoulTracks.
