First Listen: TJ Bridgewater tells the Lord that "We Need You"

(December 3, 2020) With a dose of Jodeci soul, rising Miami singer TJ Bridgewater takes on the prayerful verse of II Chronicles 7:14 in his latest urban inspirational pursuit, “We Need You.” The sleek, relaxed Quiet Storm vibes surrounding his youthful crooning almost bear a Deitrick Haddon quality, but it is the stark urgency of the lyrics — a necessary response to the political unrest and uncertainty of our present times — that somehow takes greater precedence during the performance. “O Lord, we need you like never before/The state of the world has shaken me to my core,” he sings to his Heavenly Father with a fearful reverence at the top of the first verse.
