(July 2, 2017) Distinctive tenor vocalist Tomi Jenkins has helped to define the genre-crossing Cameo sound for four decades. Although he’s released several solo projects during that time, his new EP, A Life to Remember, is perhaps his most personal statement to date. The title cut, written and produced by soul-funk guru Leon Sylvers III and his son, Leon IV, allows Jenkins a window of reflection on time spent chasing dreams ultimately leading up to something more substantial. With unaffected candor, he croons, “I did things most men could only dream of…But everything I did in my time is so insignificant, ’til you came into my life.”
