Educated, industrious and endowed with the gift of song, Unoma Okudo has a flair for music that few can lay claim to. She and her skills were nurtured in her natve Nigeria, then polished as she moved abroad for higher learning in Glasgow, Scotland. Her voice recalls the rasp of a fledgling India.Arie, yet original in its range of pitch and melody, which made her an in-demand background singer for the likes of instantly-recognizable artists like Kylie Minogue, Alexander O'Neal and Macy Gray.

Now promoting her debut EP, Odyssey, Okudo is already regaling followers with its first single, "Satisfied," which generated buzz upon release as BBC Radio Scotland's "Single of the Week." One listen to Unoma's stirring, steady vocals against the misty, jazz-infused soliloquy will make it clear that her ambitions are well-placed and that it's simply a matter of time before she's as notable as her influences (Amel Larrieaux, Floetry, Jill Scott) and mentors.
