First Listen: Vladimir Cetkar is "Going Home" on new single

(July 17, 2019) We’ve been following talented Macedonian singer/guitarist Vladimir Cetkar for a few years now. The Berklee College of Music alum has delivered consistently pleasing music that straddles the line between R&B, jazz and pop, often with a touch of Philly soul.

Vladimir recently released his long awaited new album Going Home, another fun disc that features his high energy music. And even more recently he issued a video for the title track. Like his previous video for “Come With Me,” “Going Home” is set in a beachside environment, providing a sunny backdrop to a sunny song about the joy of being back with loved ones.

Vladimir tells us: “The story behind the ‘Going Home’ song and video is inspired by my ongoing journey back and forth between some of the most fascinating places in the world, such as NYC, where my work as a composer, producer, arranger and performer has brought me, and my nostalgia and longing for my family and birthplace in Ohrid, Macedonia. Through this process I found the universal truth that we hold a special place for 'home', a place that we feel through a primordial instinct and the place where we tasted our first hopes, dreams and love.'

We think you’ll enjoy the song and scenery on “Going Home.” Check it out below and welcome back Vladimir Cetkar to SoulTracks!
