After that enjoyable album, we waited and waited for a sequel that never arrived, as Brady took his talents to his many other jobs on stage and screen.
Earlier this year we heard rumblings that Brady and The Heavyweights were again working together, and now we finally have our first morsel of new music from the collaboration. "Flirtin' w/ Forever" was released this morning and it portends another solid album to come. "Flirtin'" is the story of a man who proclaims he is ready to make the plunge with his longtime lady, putting aside his fears and embracing the love he feels. Musically, it is a nice midtempo that brings in some mild hip-hop elements over an R&B base, doing a nice job of bridging the last decade into more modern production sounds. And Brady sounds great, showing again he is a man of many talents. Now we know why he just won television's The Masked Singer.
