(May 31, 2022) When you have feelings for someone, it can be exciting on one hand and a bit scary on the other because you’re faced with a big decision – whether to reveal those feelings to your crush or not.
San Antonio-based singer/songwriter Xavier Omär was faced with that decision and ultimately chose to reveal his feelings, which worked out very well for him. His latest single “Feelings 4 You” is based on that experience. Xavier explains: “The inspiration for this single legitimately comes from how I started dating my wife. She wanted to be friends and I really tried, but I knew I felt more between us. Life is too short not to let people know when you love them.”

“Feelings 4 You” has a modern R&B sound, underscored by a trap rhythm, overlaid with soulful vocals that listeners of any age can appreciate. For Xavier – a self-proclaimed R&B singer shaped by gospel and alternative music – his single fits in with how music critics have described him – as having "the perfect blend of traditional and experimental R&B."
Based on his previous musical success, which includes his critically-acclaimed full-length EP if You Feel in 2020 and his Tiny Desk (Home) Concert for NPR in 2021, Xavier has been named “one of R&B’s most hidden gems” who’s “on a clear path to R&B greatness.”
“Feelings 4 You” will be featured on Xavier’s upcoming EP, due out this summer. He says: “If you’ve ever had feelings for someone but never told them or had to hold them back, this song is for you…I experienced the same thing with my wife before we started dating and the rest is history.”
