    Artist, Songwriter, Producer Gary Mackey (AKA: G-Mac) has honed his talent in the music industry for many years. Now embarking on his Solo career with a new album release scheduled for early 2020.

    G. Mackey was the leader of a top Bay Area band named Together.  His band was signed to Columbia Records just out of High School, and won many Bay Area awards. He was also signed with “Perfection Light Productions” where “American Idol’s” Randy Jackson produced him.

    Then shortly after, G. Mackey teamed up with Too Short and penned, co-produced, and performed the Lead Vocals on his first Multi-Platinum hit – “The Ghetto” by Too Short on Jive Records.

    During the time G. Mackey wrote his first hit, he was just ending a short time with the legendary production team Holland Dozier Holland.

    During the 80’s, G. Mackey was signed for 5 years with the Holland Group Production Team. He was signed as an artist, producer, and songwriter. While writing and producing for several of the Companies Artists, he himself learned valuable production skills under the supervision of Legendary Hall of Fame Songwriter, Eddie Holland. Learning such skills as melody structure, musical arrangement, lyrical concepts, and sound engineering, has helped make him, well rounded in his field.

    G. Mackey and New Rhyme Productions are continuing to make their mark in today’s Multi-Media Music Industry.
