Unfortunately, White never achieved the level of fame that his talent warranted before his tragic death in 1994, following an auto accident. But soul music fans didn't forget the Night People album, which has now been remastered and is available on all of the major services.

While the album still sounds strong decades after its release, particularly pleasing is the love song, (Can't) Get You Out of My System." The cut, written by Rahni Song, is a turn-up-the-volume soul ballad, with White singing his heart out, Johnny Gill style. It is also our latest SoulTracks Lost Gem.
