Philadelphia, PA, June 6, 2007 - Singer/songwriter Jamie Knight is set to release her new album, The Secret's Out, on June 19. The album features the single, "Can't Play Me," with an introduction by Jay-Z.

Hailing from Philadelphia, Jamie's musical experience began at an early age when she was named American Idol predecessor Star Search‘s Junior Champion at 6 years old. Comparisons to Ella Fitzgerald followed and Jamie released her first jazz album by the age of 8. She appeared on numerous television shows including BET, and a segment on Good Morning America, as well as having the distinction of being the youngest ever performer to sing at Carnegie Hall.

Despite her early fame, Jamie made the decision to focus on her academic career and now as she receives her college diploma, she also releases her new CD, The Secret's Out.  Highly autobiographical, it showcases Jamie's tremendous lyrical talents and unique vocal style combining her love of jazz, pop and R&B with appearances by Jay-Z on "Can't Play Me", and Gillie Da Kid on "Stop Traffic."  Jamie has also recorded an homage to our troops with the song, "I Salute Thee," and will be playing live at select military bases in June and July.

The album, released on PhillieTown Records, is available digitally through all major online retailers, and is distributed by Scorpio in the United States. Visit Jamie's website at http://www.jamieknightmusic.com/
