(July 9, 2021) For the past year or so, we've been hearing sneak peeks of the long-awaited debut album by legendary songwriters and producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The disc, Jam & Lewis, Volume One, comes out today, and it is an absolute winner.

The stars who came together for this are mind-boggling: Toni Braxton, Charlie Wilson, Babyface, Sounds of Blackness, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Heather Headley and Boyz II Men all takes turns on the album's 10 songs. There is even a mini-reunion of The Time,  as Jam & Lewis team up with their former band mates Morris Day and Jerome Benton, with The Roots backing them.

Volume One is no nostalgia trip, but is a nice album of adult soul and R&B elegantly performed by some of the biggest artists of the 80s and 90s. We think SoulTrackers will dig it. Check out Volume One below and tell us what you think.
