Ohio based Originalternativefunkjazzfusion band SounDoctrine prepares to re-enter the funk arena after an 18 month hiatus with a new project entitled "INSPIRE."
The new soul tinged album features cameo appearances by artists like Marlon Saunders, Carlton Smith, Ragan Whiteside and Alton Merrell among others. Producer & Drummer Jere B calls the project a "hybrid," merging funk & fusion and dripping with Old School lyrical perspectives. "The theme is Love," he says, "Bring back the lyrics that make us reconsider unity, brotherhood and Inspires the positive that can be found in all of us." The album's release is slated for early 2010.

SounDoctrine has garnered considerable appeal thanks to The Weather Channel's heavy rotation of the band's music. Their latest offering was a remix of ‘Smallmouth Bass' from the ENDURANCE album which features jazz legend Bob Baldwin on piano.
