(February 26, 2016) Okay, this one slipped by during the holidays without us seeing it, but there has been another lineup change in The Temptations. Of course, those familiar with the legendary group know that lineup changes are par for the course.

The changes this time are pretty big, as the group has a new lead singer. Larry Braggs, who was previously the lead vocalist of Tower of Power, takes over the spot from the departing Bruce Williamson, who will be working on Gospel projects and who has formed the new trio "Sons of Soul." And Joe Herndon, who has been working as the bass singer (singing those classic Melvin Franklin parts), departs the group after 12 years, replaced by Willie Green. They join first tenor Ron Tyson, who has carried the falsetto parts for the group since 1983, baritone Terry Weeks, who has been with the group for 18 years, and, of course, Otis Williams, the last living original Temptation and the longtime group leader.

Braggs and Green become, amazingly, the 23rd and 24th Temptations. We have created a Temptations timeline, with a listing of all of the members ever in the group as well as an update on the whereabouts of departed members. Welcome, Larry and Willie, to perhaps the greatest vocal group of all time!
