Singer/songwriter Van Hunt is getting, well...Popular in advance of his upcoming CD of the same name. With a bunch of attention around the planned January release, Hunt is letting his fans get in on the action.
First, fans will be able to enter a contest to submit a video for Van's upcoming song "Turn My TV On" (see below).
Second, Van is making available the song "Turn My TV On" for SoulTrackers to check out!

CREATE A VIDEO FOR VAN HUNT's "TURN MY TV ON"!!!
We want to know how you TURN YOUR TV ON! Van Hunt's new album and Blue Note Records debut, POPULAR, will be released on January 15th, 2008. The album of funk, rock, soul and all styles in between contains the infectious "turn my TV on" and showcases Hunt's individuality and creativity. We want to see how creative you can be by making your own video and posting it on YouTube. We'll check out all the entries and pick a winner who will get the chance to see Van in concert and meet him backstage.
Entries must be received by November 27, 2007 at 5:00pm EST and will be judged on creativity and interpretation of the song.
Here's how to enter:
1. Visit http://www.vanhunt.com/youtube to download "turn my TV on."
2. Create your own video and post it to https://www.youtube.com/.
3. Go the Turn My TV On Video Group on You Tube and click on Join Group.
4. Click the Add Video Link & select video & add to the group.
5. Send the YouTube link by 11/27/07 to: turnmytvoncontest@gmail.com with your name and contact info.
6. Check back at http://www.vanhunt.com/ to see if you won on 12/1/07.
