Vimel

    Official Biography (courtesy of Vimel)

Born in Inglewood, California, and raised in San Diego, Vimel considers himself a Soul Fusion artist. He has a unique style and voice with a collaborative tone of smooth vocals that intertwine the voices of Barry White and Lou Rawls with Dwele, Will Downing, and Maxwell. While those are his primary influences, Vimel possesses a strong love for all “good music” and creativity, which explains the soulful fusion you can expect to hear in his music.
Although he grew up singing around the house for fun and loving all genres of music, while serving in the military at Tinker AFB, Vimel had a unique opportunity to tour with Tops in Blue, the Air Force's expeditionary entertainment group during their "Deja Blue" tour, celebrating 55 years of service. While working with the Tops in Blue, Vimel performed in a 90 minute variety show, giving him the experience of performing before a live audience. His brief 9 month tour with the group ignited his passion to seek out the possibility of singing for a living, as well as helped get some of his music played on various overseas radio stations.
For the past year, he has been promoting himself, working on his music, lyrics, and collaborating with various producers to develop his own unique sound.
