(December 9, 2017) It’s been awhile since BeBe Winans entered the recording studio, but this gospel superstar remains a strong presence in the gospel industry via other means.  In the past few years, Winans has invested in Born for This: The BeBe Winans Story, a successful stage presentation documenting the uphill journey to a successful musical ministry with sister CeCe Winans.  The fruits of BeBe (and CeCe’s) labors were also recognized by their peers with The 2016 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel.  And those achievements are more than enough to cement a very satisfying body of work from a legend via one of gospel’s most respected families.

Now resuming his solo recording chapter, BeBe teams with Tobbi & Tommi and upcoming gospel messenger Kiandra for “He Promised Me” (Regimen Records), a track that will be featured on a future full-length CD project.  The scorching backing voices stay toe-to-toe with BeBe’s passionate praise, set to a simple mid-tempo funk groove.  With its sing-along premise and an emphatic stamp on God’s promises as a provider and healer, “He Promised Me” should instantly find a home on contemporary gospel radio.  In the meantime, while waiting on more tunes, let us roll out the welcome mat once again for BeBe Winans.
