I recently interviewed a musician who told me that his band planned to release an EP because the group wanted to get new music into the hands of fans quick. If they didn't have enough songs ready for a full album, so be it. Better to get folks mouths watering. If a group that has a following needs to have that kind of thinking, it is probably doubly necessary for singers such as Ife', which probably explains why she released her five track EP Crescendo.

The buzz will likely be positive because the five tracks by Ife ' disc have a mature sensuality. Tracks such as "Aim To Please" are seductive bedroom jams that show enough to inflame a little passion while being yet being tasteful enough to allow listeners to fill in the blanks.

Even with only five tracks, Crescendo provides a showcase for Ife' to showcase her voice, as well as her ability to sing acoustic ballads like "Mocha Mellow," and mid-tempo jams like "Love is Where You Are" and dreamy cuts like "Say Say Say."
