KG is a young singer-songwriter, pianist and part time guitarist. A South African Idol finalist at age 16, this rising star is now based in Toronto she is a student at the University of Toronto, where she continues to juggle performing and writing with her degree in Music Culture and History. Since coming to Canada 3 years ago she's already won radio contests with The Beat 91.5 in Kitchener and Flow 93.5; Toronto's most popular Urban Station. Recently she has been featured in shows like ‘Honey Jam' and won awards in competitions like the "100% Music Songwriting Contest."

Besides working with well renowned producers Marcus Kane (of ‘Snow' fame) and Tone Mason (Fantasia Barrino); you might have seen her bespectacled face singing the jingle for leading eyewear company ‘Hakim Optical'.  When not performing with cover band "KG & the VIPs", this chanteuse can be found in and around Toronto singing her own songs of love, addiction and paradise. With a voice that has been described as ‘a fine red wine' she can be found jumping between genres including R&B, Blues, Jazz and Bossa Nova. She aspires to complete her debut album this in the Spring of 2010 and to continue writing, performing and licensing great songs.
