Where are they Now?

Vesta

I'm sorry.. this is the last one... Seriously! :)

I love Vesta's music. I'm suprised that she wasn't bigger than what she was. There were a lot of quality artists out there when she was making music so I guess she couldn't compete.

"Congratulations" was my big jam! I still play that song.

Lisa Fischer

This is my last one for now..... :)

Remember her? She had the big hit, "How Can I Ease the Pain?" She released that one CD and it was a good CD too, but she never put anything else out. Last I heard, she was singing backup for Luther Vandross before he passed.

Jacci McGhee

Where is she? She was the female on Keith Sweat's big hit, "Make it Last Forever". She released on CD that was pretty good but that was the last I heard of her.

Steve Arrington/Slave

The leading founder and drummer behind Slave and Steve Arrington's Hall of Fame back in the mid 70's and 80's disappeared from the music scene after scroing such hits as "Way Out", "Weak at the Knees", "Slide", "Just a Touch of Love", Wait For Me" and "Watching You" to answer to call to minister in Ohio sometime during the mid-90's.

Him, Sam Carter and Charles Carter created some clsssic underground slow jams as well, anyone remember "Last Nite/Nite Before" or "Beddie-Biey"? Anyone know what's up with the rest of the group members and what they're up to?

Loose Ends

Wow, this was one of the best bands out of the UK back in the late 80's, early 90's. I heard rumours over the years of them reuniting (the original members) but never knew if it ever came around to happening...anyone got info on that?

If there's anyone who knows the original members, tell them we'll pay, please reunite and "Stay A Little While, Chile"!

The Jones Girls

Alright now, whatever happened to the ladies responsible for these classic jams?

"I Just Love The Man"
"You're Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else"
"Nights Over Egypt"
"Dance Turned Into Romance"

A lot of people confused them with The Emotions...

Know where they are or what they're up to? Give me a holla!

Alexander O'Neal

Back in the day, I used to plot ways to get back stage to holla at a brotha, I caught him years ago in Atlanta and swore he was singing "If You Were Here Tonight" to me personally!

The man had a voice that was one of strongest soul singers to come out of the 80's and had a long-standing production relationship with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis of Flyte Time Productions. Rumors circulated during the early 90's about suspected drug use, but there were never substantiated evidence of it. However, he did drop off the scene after his may successful duets with label mate, Cherelle on Tabu Records.

Chuckii Booker

Dude was on fire as a producer and artist in his own right back in the 80's, remember "Games", "Turned Away" or "I Should Have Loved You"?

Anybody know what he's doing now?
