She is back... That's where she is. Check out her new CD "Private Collection". I love Crazee and You Made Me Love You. Soul Tracks listed it as top 10! Look out Grammies, here she comes.

I recently read that Bunny Debarge of the R&B group DeBarge is releasing a tell all book on the 80's sensations. The book will chronicle the rise and fall of the musical family and give some insight into the creation of the "Debarge" sound. I'm a big fan of both Debarge and Switch and look forward to reading the book. Does anyone have any current information on any of the other members of Debarge?

Leroy Hudson was always one of my all time favorites!
Does anyone know what he is doing now? Is he still recording?

With the recent release of that Best of D'Angelo CD/DVD, speculation is running wild. Greatest Hits packages are almost always a sign of the end, sometimes of a phase in an artist career (say with a particular label), sometimes just of a career. As I play D'Angelo's brilliant cut, "I'll Stay," from off Roy Hargrove's first RH Factor, I can't help but wonder if we'll ever get to see him and those dreaming eyes of his ever again. (And punchy mug shots don't count ya'll!)

His albums have become the stuff of legend. He's become the J.D. Salinger of soul music. UK blue-eyed soul artist, Lewis Taylor made some of the most innovative, intricate and bare naked honest music we've heard in a generation. While sometimes Taylor took his experimentation to inaccessible places, he was never less than flawless in his voice and musicianship. After a gorgeous US debut, Stoned, in 2006 and a rock-influenced Lost Album (re-released 2007) that rivals any of the lost albums from Marvin Gaye, The Beatles, and Brian Wilson, Lewis Taylor announced his retirement.

I left The Persuasions in 2003. The universe sent me 4 new a cappella pros who I couldn't resist working with. Also the most brilliant bass man I've ever heard. My wife & I produced & released the masterpiece of my career titled "Jerry Lawson & Talk of The Town" I live in Scottsdale, Arizona with my wife Julie. I work with developmentally disabled adults & I'm having a ball working on a variety of solo projects & collaborations. One new unreleased tune can be heard here:
